HPG Internship Program Receives National Recognition

The Humanities for the Public Good Internship program – facilitated by Jennifer New, Associate Director of the Obermann Center – received national recognition for its groundbreaking work in The Chronicle for Higher Education.

Teresa Mangum – Director of the Obermann and P.I. of the HPG grant – explains: “We understand internships to be an educational experience…” As such, they demand “the same kind of careful design and attention to learning outcomes we would expect from a course.”
